Dyna Blaster or Bomberman as it is known outside of Europe is a top-down maze/battle game developed by Hudson Soft. Here we take a look at the Commodore Amiga version, originally released in 1991.
Anybody who remembers Dyna Blaster on the Amiga will recall it primarily for one thing, the multiplayer battle mode!
Single-player was often neglected in favour of the battle mode. Interestingly, up to 5 players could play in battle mode. This is achieved with the use of a parallel port adapter which provided an additional 2 joystick ports. The fifth player could participate on the keyboard.
Dyna Blaster reviews were overall very positive, ranging from 83% to 93%.
